To my Grandma,
Altagracia, for being my mom while my mom was working. It would take a lifetime to list all the things you taught me and that I am extremely grateful for. Thank you for teaching me to be honest, principled, and dutiful. And I hope to be at least half of the wise you are someday!
To my mom, Julia, for teaching me to be an independent, hard-working, and strong-willed woman. Now I realize how important it is to get an education if you want to get somewhere in life.
When I started studying to get my wedding planner certification, one piece of advice that repeated itself all the time was to present my business with “I”, such as in “I’ll be delighted to help you plan your perfect wedding” or “I’m gonna make sure everything runs smoothly on your wedding day”, etc.
That was not an option for me. I think it is completely unfair to talk only about “I” in a business where you need the support and help of so many people. And that is why, when needed, my sentences will always begin with a “We” to refer to me and all the people who, by my side, give their best to make your dream wedding possible.
WEdding is not an I business, it is teamwork. Without the florist, the set-up team, the restaurant or venue team, the light and sound team, the photographer, the videographer, the officiant, the graphic designer, and so many other actors and actresses involved, this project would go nowhere.
Puerto Plata is my hometown, and its streets witnessed my childhood, teen years and only a couple of years of my adulthood, as I had to moved to Punta Cana, looking for a better job opportunity.
I have been part of the event and wedding planning industry since I started working at a hotel in Punta Cana, back in 2008. In the beginning, my job was, let's say behind the scenes in the F&B department, but I learned a lot and, and this experience set the bases for what was coming years later.
Planning and coordinating destination weddings and events has been the most beautiful, fun, enriching, and rewarding part of my life as I have grown a lot, both personally and professionally, while meeting the most amazing couple and families ever.
I am looking forward to putting myself and all this knowledge at your disposal, to help you design, plan, and coordinate your destination wedding or elopement in Puerto Plata and Punta Cana.
Education: I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UTESA University in Puerto Plata, and not long ago I got a double Master's Degree in Event Management and Wedding Planning in Esneca Business School in Madrid, Spain. I am currently studying to get my Wedding Planner Certification with The Wedding Planning Academy.
